Protest for Navalny cross Russia on Putin birthday

Over 300 people have been arrested  as supporters of opposition leader Alexei Navalny hold  Protests in 90 cities accross  Russia.

They are demanding he be allowed to stand in 2018 presidential elections. 

 Clashes and  dozens  of  arrest  have  been reported  In St Petersburg, Where  the main protest is taking place. 
  The  rallies  coincide with President Vladimir Putins  65th birthday. Most are unauthorised, in Moscow and  St Petersburg.

 Mr Navalny is prese
ntly  serving a 20years jail for consistent violation of Public  meeting  law.
It is the third  time  this year that Navalny has  been jailed!
